We've been talking for weeks about patronizing Dunwoody businesses to keep our spending dollars close to home. Time to put it into action.
1) Be careful out there!
Don't be one of those people on the 11 PM news getting trampled at the store. Or in a parking lot rage incident. Or worse, pickpocketed. Pack your patience, leave plenty of time, and wear some hiking shoes to get around the stores and the parking. Dunwoody Police is doing its annual Tweet A Thon with hashtag #DPDCalls. They'll warn you of places to avoid or problems popping up.
2) Download the Dunwoody Chamber webapp to access the local business directory on your smartphone.
The Chamber website is a webapp where you can access hot deals and the business directory while on the run. Not just for shopping: when you stop to take a break don't forget local restaurants and cafes. Many establishments have map links as well.
This QR code will take you straight to the directory page. If you follow the popup instructions from your iPhone or Android device to save the app you'll be able to search the directory and peruse hot deals in only a couple of taps.
3) Another complete listing of small businesses participating in Small Business Saturday can be found at ShopSmall.com. The site will automatically search for Atlanta (or whatever your location is) but you can search via ZIP code - like 30338, 30360, 30346, etc.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and finds what they're looking for this holiday season!
